MOMs ORGANIC MARKET

The problem

Founded in 1987, MOM’s has grown to become the Mid-Atlantic region’s premier chain of organic grocery stores. MOM’s had an existing broker and approximately one year remaining on their contracts. They were considering other options to reduce their carbon footprint while reducing their energy costs in line with new market conditions.

Our approach

We analyzed all locations (except Virginia due to regulatory constraints) and provided tailored strategies:

  • Some states adopted 100% fixed rates to lock in long-term favorable pricing
  • Others utilized hybrid pricing for greater flexibility

The outcome

We negotiated and secured better rates upon contract expiration and delivered significant multi-state savings without disrupting operations
